This four-part series, presented by Phil Mason, is an in-depth examination of the Word of Faith teaching. Phil explores the origins of this unique teaching and the scope of its influence in the Pentecostal/Charismatic world. Word of Faith (or hyper-faith) teachers focus upon the 'faith formula' that claims to move God to answer our prayers. Confession of the Word of God is front and center in this approach to getting results from God. Abuses of this teaching have created their own set of problems in Christian praxis, resulting in countless casualties who have suffered from falling short of appropriating victory through the 'faith formula.' Things get really messy when this model is applied to inner healing issues such as trauma, wounding, and recovery from abuse. This course also offers healing to those who have become casualties of this gnostic approach to prayer and ministry.
