Bringing Many Sons to Glory

The writer of Hebrews tells us that the Father is “bringing many sons to glory.” (Hebrews 2:10). This teaching series takes us on a deep dive into sonship theology as we explore the epic theme of theosis, also called divinization. As partakers of Jesus' divine nature (2 Peter 1:4), the Father's adopted sons and daughters are called to participate in the divine glory of Christ. The journey of theosis is a progressive conformity to the image of the Beloved Son. As partakers of Christ's life and immortality, brought to light through the gospel, we are experiencing supernatural Christosis as we embrace the high calling of divine sonship. The New Testament vision of divinization, exemplified in the life of St. Paul and St. John, represents a deep baptism into immortal glory. The pinnacle of divinization is the capacity to replicate the kingdom ministry of Christ.
